My Mate Has Two Wolves

Chapter 412

Chapter 412

"Aren't you supposed to have dinner at home? I need to go back too."

Sunny recalled Patricia's call to Leo last night, where he promised to return early.

She felt a tinge of sadness. Although she and Leo were back together, she still felt insecure. Celebrating Christmas's Eve would mean another separation.

"Are you going home?" Leo narrowed his eyes, staring at her dangerously. "What if your stepfather introduces another suitor to you? How will you refuse him?"

Sunny was surprised. "How do you know about that?"

"Wasn't it? I know he's introduced five suitors to you. I didn't get that wrong, did I?" Leo sneered, his face turning cold.

"He treats you like goods to sell. Are you still going back to his place?" Leo's face darkened, as if ready to punch someone.

This was Sunny's dark secret, something she had always feared and been hurt by.

If Leo hadn't investigated her, she would have kept these secrets until old age, not letting anyone know she had been bartered by her stepfather.

At this moment, upon hearing Leo's words, Sunny's face turned pale.

"Why did you investigate me?" Sunny looked down, biting her lip.

Leo mocked, "If I hadn't, would you never tell me?"

"What's there to talk about? It's all in the past!" Sunny forced a laugh.

"Your stepfather's no good. I know he has a daughter of his own. Why doesn't he sell her? That damn old bastard, I'll beat him up if I ever see him."

Leo's anger grew at the thought of Sunny possibly being with another man.

Sunny, seeing his murderous look, quickly soothed him. "Leo, don't hit him. My mom still lives with him."

"Why can your mom tolerate his wickedness? Is she really your mother?"

"Of course she is. Who else would be?" Sunny said bitterly.

Leo patted her head. "If this happens again, tell me. I'll stand up for you, even if she's your mother. No one should sell you!"

Her wounded heart was comforted by his helping hand.

Sunny blushed and nodded. "I know."

Leo asked seriously, "Want to come home with me?"

Sunny hesitated. "Can I? It's kinda weird."

"This isn't about propriety. It's about whether you want to come. If you do, then it's fine!" Leo twisted her words.

Convinced by his logic, Sunny smiled and nodded. "You're right. It's just about my willingness. So, there's no problem now. I want to go with you!"

Hearing her "I want to go with you," Leo's mood instantly brightened.

"You're so sweet. I might really take you away and throw you into my deep pit, from which you can't escape!" Leo teased.

"Is that so? Are you sure I can't climb out? Don't forget, I have taekwondo training!" Sunny wouldn't let him tease her again, her eyes sharp.

Leo stiffened, then hummed. "Do you think only you train? I can too!"

"You're not really going to train, are you? It's tough!" Sunny remembered her own tough journey.

Leo disagreed. "No matter how tough, I have to train. I can't be threatened by a woman!"

Sunny was speechless. When had she threatened him? He was truly twisting logic.

They stayed in, watched movies, chatted, and made lunch together. At 3 p.m., Leo took Sunny to the Royal Pack.

Seeing she had nothing in hand, Sunny felt embarrassed. "Shouldn't we buy something? At least for your grandparents and the two nephews."

"Relax. I've got everything in the car, enough to convey your appreciation!" Leo raised his eyebrows confidently.

After getting out of the car, Sunny noticed Leo had driven a SUV today. Opening the trunk, she saw it was filled with gifts. When had he prepared all this?

"Get in!" Leo called as she stood in a daze.

Sunny got into the car, and the SUV headed towards the Royal Pack.

At Leo's home, Patricia was busy making pies. Catherine joined in, and the two kids ran around.

Eventually, Hedwig took an interest in making pies and tried to help.
