Chapter 51

Rachel's POV

After dinner, Gabriel tucked me comfortably into his side lying next to me in bed, his naked skin pressed against mine creating warmth and sparks all over my body. He says I'm not allowed to wear clothes to bed and I also make him follow the same rules he created so I couldn't complain. I rest my head on his chest, my legs tangled with his as he uses his fingers to play with my hair affectionately,his other arms wrapped around me holding me close. He places gentle kisses on my forehead making me melt into him, if someone had told me that Gabriel could be this gentle I would have denied it immediately and laughed to their face. But this man had been sweet and loving to me ever since he found out that I was his mate and I'm so grateful for having him.

"Oh, I forgot to ask. How is your visit to the children's school with my mom going today?" He asked to break the satisfying silence we had been sharing, I smiled at the memories of earlier today.

" It went better than expected, they were all sweet, stepping over each other to get our attention. They practically jumped on your mom,but they all showed us the picture they were coloring and also introduced us to their friends. It was great". I admit, I was a little surprised at myself by how much I enjoyed the experience and could see it becoming one of my favorites things to do. I felt Gabriel lips curl into a smile against my forehead as his hand slipped gently up and down my back.

" Good, I'm glad. I'm glad you will make an amazing mom". He says quietly and I choke on air as I sit up on the bed.

He chuckles a little as I cough, trying to breathe in fresh air into my lungs. " Relax sweetheart". He says with a nervous smile and I look at him with wide eyes.

" I can't believe you said that". I said and I felt a pang of hurt coming from our bond.

" You don't want kids?" He asks with a little sadness in his tone and I reach out to cup his cheek with my hands.

" Of course I want children ". I tell him to relax a little.

" With me?" He asked and I couldn't help but chuckle.

"No, with someone else, maybe a rouge ". I say and he growls at me l. You are my mate of course with yourself, I'm just a little surprised that you thought about that already ". I say honestly and he nods, just not right away. I would like to get fitted into the Luna position first before bringing a small wolf between us". I explained and he nodded before beaming with a smile at me.

" Have you thought about how many you want?" He ask excitedly and I chuckle before shaking my head

" Honestly? Not really,but I know I want more than one, being an only child is lonely". He nods in understanding before looking out through the window.

" Yeah, it's very lonely. I had always wished to have a little brother as my Beta. I would have loved that". He said quietly and I smiled warmly at him.

" I will give you more than one, baby. Don't worry". I said and he smiled brightly at me before pulling me into his arms.

" I love you sweetheart, you are the best thing that ever happened to me ". He says his throat is clogged with emotions, our bond hums with his emotions and I feel my eyes cloud with tears as I also get emotional trying to memorize every detail.

" Gabriel I love you too, so much. It might have started out rocky,but you have been good for me too ". I say and he leans in to kiss me sweetly. I tucked my face back to his neck, laying down to snuggle in next to him and breathe in his scent, enjoying his closeness.

" You are right though,we can't wait for a while, I want to be greedy with you,I want all of your attention for a while". He says with a mischievous smile on his face and I giggled back.

" We can practice though....".

The next morning I walked into the pack house and was pulled aside by Helen.

" When do you plan on telling me about the party the Alpha was going to throw for you?" She questioned me and I looked at her confused.

" What party?" I ask and she rolls her eyes

" Of course you don't like to party, you don't even know when one is being thrown for you. The Alpha is celebrating you and Gabriel completing your bond". She says excitedly and my mouth opens in gasps.

" He threw a party because I slept with his son?" I shouted in absolute shock and a few ladies walking by giggled as they smiled at me. My face heated up into a blush and I pulled Helen with me to his office. I didn't bother to knock which was unlikely of me but right now I'm angry.

" Alpha". I screamed as I pushed the door of his office open. He and Gabriel are sitting looking at the map of the pack and some paperwork. Both of their heads pop up to me and Gabriel stands up walking towards me.

" What wrong sweetheart?" He asked worriedly,but I didn't take my eyes off his father.

" Please tell me you are not throwing a party because I completed my bond with Gabriel". I ask and he shrugs.

" No, I'm not throwing a party because you and Gabriel completed your bond". He says simply and I sigh in relief. " Now would you like to hear the truth?" He asked and I snarl at him.

" Dad, why didn't you ask first? You know how Rachel feels about parties. That is rude and so unlike you". Gabriel says, putting himself between his father and i as he senses my shortening patience. Alpha signs and pinches the bridge of his nose before responding.

" I'm not doing it because you completed your bond with Gabriel l. And also it is not abnormal when you throw a party to celebrate the future alpha finding his mate. Considering that you were an asshole to your mate and we weren't sure she would accept you, we called it off. But now that you are marked, she's stuck with you. We have also meant to invite our allies from other packs. It strengthens bonds, spreading goodwill and all that bullshit. This is just the perfect opportunity. The alpha from the first pack Rachel went to will be here with his son and we haven't seen his son for a while, it will be good to have them here". He says and my heart leaps at that.

" I did love his son. He was the sweetest kid I met". I saw wishfully and Gabriel eyes me affectionately.

" Rethinking our conversation from last night already?" He asks slyly and I scoff at him before rolling my eyes.

" No, I'm not ready for a small you, I'm still learning to deal with the big one I have". I say firmly making the Alpha ears perk up.

"Kid? You are talking about children?" He asks excitedly and I groan as Gabriel shakes his head..

" No, dad. Not yet...please don't tell mom......."

" Just wait until I tell your mother". Alpha says and Gabriel shakes his head, flailing his arms in front of his father's face.

" No, don't do that. She will freak the fuck". Just then we heard a loud scream coming down stairs.

"Pups! Oh my goodness pups". Gabriel's mother yells and comes rushing into the room, hugging me tightly and letting me go quickly before looking at my stomach happily.

" Oh my god I'm sorry, are you pregnant already ? My bad I squeezed my grandchildren so tight!" She said and I rolled my eyes looking at Gabriel.

" This is your fault. You should fix it". I say from him firmly leaving the room pulling Helen out with me.

" Sweetheart, don't leave me like this ". I hear Gabriel's pleading just as the door shut close behind me.

" Gosh, that idiot should have known better than to mention pups". I said to Helen who finally let out the laughter she had been holding in. After she is done wiping the tear from her face she links her arm with mine and we leave the pack house.

" Well one good thing did come out of that meeting ". She says happily and I eye her wearily, usually when she gets excited about things like this,it means she's about to force me to do something I wouldn't want to do.

" And what good thing came out of this meeting, other than the entire pack thinking that I'm already pregnant ?" I ask with mocking sweetness, but she gives me a wide smile.

" We know for sure that there will be a party and you are going to be the guest of honor, which means we get to go shopping for a dress ".

" Gosh, just kill me".
