Once or twice, Accalia's thoughts fell on Ethan. She wondered if he had stopped by the house while she was away. Immediately Accalia hastened her steps. To get home faster,she decided to use a shorter route.

It was evening already and Accalia passed others who also tried to get home for a warm meal and some rest. Accalia turned to smile at some young boys who ran past her, chasing themselves when her eyes fell on Ethan.

She gasped in shock as she saw the man who had professed love to her, walking out of a house with a beautiful blonde lady holding him close. The town was a small one and everyone knew everyone. Even though Accalia was still new,she knew this lady. Her name was Penney.

Penney was the drama queen of the town and from what Accalia heard,she was chased by so many men and she enjoyed the attention she got.

Accalia watched as she clung to Ethan like he was some trophy and gave him a peck on the cheek, before Ethan excused himself and she went back in. Accalia's guess was that Ethan spent the whole day with her because she was in a large bathrobe and her hair was not fixed stylishly,as she was known for.

Ethan looked up and he met Accalia's eyes on him and he became dumbstruck. He thought of what to say to her but she stomped off in anger.

Accalia tried her best not to let tears fall because of Ethan. They were destined to be mates and here he was,a few steps from rejecting her. She was only grateful she didn't tell her friends about him, because this would have been very embarrassing.

For Ethan,he felt very frustrated and didn't know what to do. He got in his car and raced to catch up with Accalia. He had felt that meeting with Penney was a bad idea. Penney had always wanted them to be more but obviously the feeling wasn't mutual. It was hard for women like Penney to let go.

By the timeEthan arrived at Accalia's place,he still saw the door locked,so he believed she might have gone to the brook. Ethan ran to the brook only to meet the deafening silence. For the first time,he didn't care about the peace and quiet. All that mattered to him was finding her.

Walking back frustrated, Ethan met the door lock no longer in place and he heard noises in Accalia's house. That could mean only one thing. She was home. Ethan knocked on the door like his life depended on it and for obvious reason Accalia didn't open up.

He knocked again and was about to turn to the window to peep when he heard the keys behind the door rattle before it opened revealing the gorgeous face of his heartthrob. Her beautiful hair fell on her face to her shoulders and she had a frown on her face but somehow for Ethan,she looked sexier.

"Accalia please..can..can I come in?", Ethan began to plead.

Accalia gave him a long look then took a few steps as she opened the door wider, letting him in. She tried to walk off,but Ethan restrained her.

"Hey.. please let me explain", Ethan begged again.

"Honestly, Ethan.. there's nothing to explain. You're free to be with anyone you want. I'm not mad", Accalia said, biting her quivering lower lip.

"I don't want anyone else. I want you. You.. Accalia", Ethan said, holding her still.

"By being with someone else? Look Ethan. I'm too busy and new for your games. As fate may have willed it, we're Mates. But it's not new to be rejected by your destined mate. So, please...", Accalia said, pushing Ethan's hands off her.

"I'll never reject you, beautiful. I chose you from the first day my eyes fell on you. I hurt you and I'm deeply sorry. But I swear nothing happened between me and Penney", Ethan said meekly.

"Tell that to a baby", Accalia muttered to herself, rolling her eyes.

"It's the truth, Accalia. We were supposed to meet, yeah? I finished work and was set to meet you when I met one of Penney's friends. She said,she had some emergency to do,which now I think about it..I think she lied", Ethan explained.

"She said Penney was down with some fever and needed to get a few things,and politely asked if I could get it for her. I've known Penney for a while. She's not an enemy although she wants us to be more than friends but I've never been interested", Ethan said.

"So, what was I supposed to do? I agreed to help only to realize that Penney only had a hangover from clubbing all night,and she needed me to come keep her company sexually and I declined", Ethan ended.

"And you expect me to believe that? I cooked for you. I waited. You stood me up for some blonde who publicly kissed you", Accalia breathed out.

"It was nothing. It's Penney's way to try marking territory whenever we are spotted together. And if you remember well, you'd know I shoved her off", Ethan said.

"Please baby.. I'm sorry for keeping you waiting. I made plans to come when I was done", Ethan begged.

"You sure there's nothing between you and Penney?", Accalia asked, facing Ethan squarely.

"I swear. Nothing. You know I was thinking,I don't mind showing you off. It'll help ward off the women from me and those body-thirsty men away from your luscious body", Ethan said, taking Accalia's hands and kissing it.

Accalia laughed hard at Ethan's statement and even harder when he started to lay kisses on her body, tickling her.

"Okay..I forgive you, but just this once", Accalia said,laughing.

"Thank you baby. Look at me. It's you that I love and choose, okay?" Ethan reassured her, wrapping his hands around her.

"I like you too, Ethan", Accalia replied shyly.

"So.. where's the food? Did you eat everything up?"Ethan jokes. It was so good to see Quiet Ethan,all romantic and saying more words.

Accalia laughed and tried to reply and Ethan interrupted. "Oh no! You glutton! Don't tell me you ate everything? Well then,I'll eat them off you", Ethan joked and Accalia burst out laughing.

"Oh really? How do you intend to do that?"Accalia teased, biting her lip.

"I'm jealous of your teeth right now", Ethan said suddenly.

"Wh..why?", Accalia replied nervously.

"Ugh! Cause it's very fortunate to sink itself into those pink and soft lips of yours", he breathed.

Before Accalia could find an answer,she felt Ethan's warm mouth over hers. She kissed him back and he moaned, massaging her naked arms. Accalia threw her hands over his shoulders,holding the back of Ethan's neck as they kissed.

Ethan carried her suddenly and she wrapped her legs around his waist,still engrossed in their kiss. While Ethan buried his face in her neck,she fidgeted with the buttons of his shirt, ripping the cloth off his body.
