Between Four of Us

Chapter 95

Chapter 95

The next morning, Camille was in the middle of jotting down more notes and organizing vendor contacts when Noah, Leo, and Matthew walked into the room, each carrying a look that was both amused and slightly guilty. She glanced up, blinking in surprise at their serious expressions.

“Hey, what’s going on?” she asked, setting her pen down.

Leo walked over, giving her a soft smile as he placed his hands on her shoulders. “We’ve been thinking, Camille. After what happened yesterday at the bakery… we realized we’re letting you carry way too much of this wedding planning on your own.”

Camille opened her mouth to protest, but Matthew quickly interjected, his voice gentle but firm. “We know you want everything to be perfect, and we love how dedicated you are. But it’s a lot for one person, and we should be helping more.”

Noah knelt down beside her, taking her hand. “So we made an executive decision, and we’re hiring a wedding planner to help. That way, you can focus on what really matters and not be bogged down by every little detail.”

Camille’s eyes widened in surprise. “A wedding planner? Are you sure? I mean, I thought we were all doing this together.”

Leo chuckled, giving her shoulders a squeeze. “We are. But the planner will handle the logistics, the organizing, the stuff that’s making you lose sleep. We want you to enjoy this process, Camille, not be overwhelmed by it.”

She hesitated, glancing between them, a bit of relief starting to break through her initial surprise. “I… I guess that would help a lot. I was getting a bit stressed with everything.”

“A bit?” Noah raised an eyebrow, a hint of a smile on his lips. “You’ve been practically running a marathon to pull everything together. You deserve to relax and enjoy this time.”

Camille smiled, the weight she’d been feeling starting to lift. “Alright, if you’re sure. I don’t want to seem ungrateful. I just wanted this wedding to reflect all of us.”

Matthew took her other hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. “And it still will. You’ll have the final say, the planner will just help make it easier. It’s still our wedding, Camille, but now with less stress.”

She let out a sigh of relief, a wide smile spreading across her face. “Thank you. I can’t tell you how much this means to me. You all are too good to me.”

Leo leaned in, grinning. “Well, we’re not done yet. We’re taking you out tonight—no planning, no lists, just a night of fun.”

Camille’s eyes lit up, a spark of excitement bubbling in her chest. “Really? Where are we going?”

Noah exchanged a look with Leo and Matthew, his eyes twinkling. “You’ll see. Just be ready by six, and wear something nice.”

The day passed quickly, Camille’s anticipation growing as she got ready for their mystery date. At six, she descended the stairs, dressed in a simple but elegant dress that made her feel beautiful yet comfortable. She found the three men waiting for her, each of them dressed to impress, their eyes lighting up as she approached.

“You look stunning,” Matthew said, his voice filled with admiration as he took her hand, guiding her down the last few steps.

Leo’s grin was wide and playful. “If anyone asks, I’m claiming you as my date tonight.”

Camille laughed, shaking her head as she looked at him. “And what about Noah and Matthew?”

“They’ll just have to be jealous,” Leo replied with a wink, making them all laugh.

They guided her outside to a waiting car, and after a short drive, they arrived at a cozy little bistro tucked away in a quiet part of town. The restaurant had a charming, intimate atmosphere, with soft lighting and elegant decor. They were seated at a corner table by a window, where a view of twinkling lights and a small garden created the perfect romantic setting.

As they settled in, Camille felt the stress she’d been carrying start to melt away. The quiet clinking of glasses, the soft hum of conversations, and the comforting presence of Noah, Leo, and Matthew beside her made her feel completely at ease.

They spent the evening talking, laughing, and sharing stories, their conversations flowing easily as they savored each course. Leo kept everyone laughing with his usual playful antics, while Matthew’s calm, steady presence grounded the evening, making it feel both lighthearted and deeply meaningful.

At one point, as the main course was being served, Noah reached across the table, taking Camille’s hand. “Camille, I just want you to know how much we all appreciate you. You’re the heart of this wedding, and this life we’re building together. We’re so lucky to have you.”

Camille felt a warmth spread through her chest, her eyes shining as she looked at him. “Thank you, Noah. I feel the same way about each of you. You’ve made this journey so much easier, and I couldn’t imagine doing any of it without you by my side.”

Leo raised his glass, his voice filled with emotion that was unusual for him. “To Camille—the most incredible woman we could ever hope to share our lives with. Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, and endless adventures together.”

They clinked their glasses, each of them sharing a quiet, meaningful glance. Camille felt her heart swell with love for each of them, the moment feeling like a promise of all the beautiful days yet to come.

As dessert was served—a rich chocolate mousse that Camille declared her new favorite—they continued to talk, savoring the sweetness of the night. Matthew leaned in, his voice soft as he reached out to touch her hand.

“Camille, we’ll always be here for you. No matter what comes, we’re in this together.”

She smiled, feeling a rush of gratitude and love as she looked around at each of them. “You all make me feel so loved. I couldn’t ask for anything more.”

After dinner, they took her for a moonlit walk along the lake near the bistro, the quiet night casting a sense of peace over them. The stars sparkled overhead, and the sound of the water lapping gently at the shore created a serene backdrop for their stroll.

They walked hand in hand, Camille in the center, her heart full as they moved in comfortable silence. Leo broke the quiet with a grin, squeezing her hand.

“You know, Camille, I think we’re all going to need to step up our romance game if we’re going to keep making you smile like this.”

Noah chuckled, nodding. “I think we’re up for the challenge.”

Matthew’s voice was soft, but his words carried a depth that made Camille’s heart flutter. “As long as we’re together, Camille, every day will be filled with moments like this. That’s our promise to you.”

Camille looked at each of them, feeling a deep, unbreakable bond that connected them all. She leaned in, giving each of them a soft kiss, one by one, her heart swelling with the love she felt for each of them.

“Thank you for everything,” she whispered, her voice filled with gratitude. “Tonight was perfect.”
