Chapter 1337: Happiness
Chapter 1337: Happiness
When Mu Yan and the others rushed back to the hospital, Mu Chen had already woken up, but his face was ashen, and the doctor only said the situation was far from optimistic.Mu Yan knew that surgery was urgently needed, but fortunately everything had been arranged, and they would depart within the next couple of days.
"Sister, I’m fine." Mu Chen looked at her, comforting her.
Mu Yan smiled and said, "Of course you’re fine. Our Chenchen is just too happy today. Tomorrow, we’ll go to the United States, and by the time you come back, you’ll be all better."
"Mm." Mu Chen replied.
Song Cheng’an and the others saw that Mu Chen was awake, realized there was nothing more they could do at the hospital, so they bade farewell and left.
Mu Yan was worried about Mu Chen, wanting to stay at the hospital, but Luo Yao persuaded her otherwise.
"Sister, Mu Chen has me to take care of him. You should go and rest, tomorrow we’re heading to the United States. After that, it will be a tough battle; you need strength to keep going."
Mu Yan hesitated for a moment, then agreed, "If anything happens to Chenchen, let me know immediately."
"Okay." Luo Yao nodded.
Mu Yan went into the ward and exchanged a few more words with Mu Chen before leaving with Jiang Jingheng.
The ward was filled with flowers and looked very much like a wedding atmosphere.
Luo Yao had long since changed out of her wedding dress, wearing regular clothes, helping Mu Chen bathe.
"Thank you." Mu Chen looked at her, speaking softly.
Luo Yao looked up at him and smiled, "What are you saying? I’m your wife; this is what I should be doing."
Mu Chen saw her eyes, red and swollen, felt somewhat reluctant, suddenly grasped her hand, and apologized, "I’m sorry, even knowing my condition, yet I still went through with the wedding to ease my sister’s heart, I was too selfish."
"No, this was my choice. I want to marry you." Luo Yao smiled, "Dreamt of it every night, today it finally came true."
"But I..."
"It’s alright, every extra day as your wife is a blessing to me." Luo Yao smiled, tears shimmering in her eyes, "Mu Chen, you have no idea how happy I am today."
"Me too." Mu Chen answered, "Thank you for choosing to marry me."
"Silly." Luo Yao looked at him reproachfully, and continued to help him bathe.
She wanted to cry, but she knew it wasn’t appropriate right now, so she restrained her emotions.
After bathing, she carried the water to the bathroom and finally let herself cry, tears streaming down her face; she covered her mouth for fear of making any noise.
If marrying Mu Chen led to such a result, she would rather not marry him, nor hear those words Mu Chen had spoken.
On the way back, Mu Yan was in high spirits.
Tomorrow, they would go to the United States, and once the surgery was done, Chenchen would get better, and then regain his life.
Jiang Jingheng saw the unstoppable smile on her lips and knew exactly what she was thinking.
He said, "When should we plan our wedding?"
"What?" Mu Yan looked at him with surprise.
Jiang Jingheng glanced at her, "Don’t you want to have a wedding?"
"No, I do." Mu Yan shook her head, but...
She suddenly smiled, "We’ll have the wedding when we return from the United States, but we’ll wait until Chenchen has recovered enough, so he can join us."
She thought of something and said, "You might not know, but he’s eagerly wished for me to get married since I turned twenty, talking about it endlessly as if I couldn’t find someone to marry."
"How could you not find someone, I’ve always been here, haven’t I?" Jiang Jingheng held her hand, eyes full of tenderness.
Mu Yan gave him a sweet smile, "Right, I have Mr. Jiang."
She turned her head to look ahead, and added, "Now Chenchen has Luo Yao, that’s truly wonderful."
Jiang Jingheng watched her excitement, choosing to stay silent, knowing that the more he spoke, the more animated she became.
However, the wedding planning may have to wait for now.
